Mojo Monday #282

Better late than never!  Here is the sketch for Mojo Monday #282:

I'm still not brave enough to go for the round card.  I made a square card and used paper from DCWV's La Creme matstack and heat embossed a "thank you" stamp from Fiskars.  The branch is a Sizzix die and the circles are Spellbinders dies.

Red and White Challenge

This is my first submission to the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge.  The theme for this challenge (#97) is red and white.  Not too difficult (even for me)!

I was finally able to use my Spellbinders Impressibilities die!  Of course, I had no idea how to use it, so I spent about 1/2 hour watching YouTube videos figuring out what to do with the dang thing!  A nice lady by the name of Joanna Sheen had a great video posted on her blog giving instructions on how to use the die.  Thank you Joanna!

Then, I made a flower out of white card stock using another Spellbinders die (I found them on sale, can you tell?).  I inked the edges in red.  Then, I smeared red ink on the center of the flower and totally messed it up so I covered my mistake with the red flower on top!  Pretty good save, huh?

I stamped the sentiment in red on white card stock (See the pattern here? Red and white - I followed instructions!) and then attached that to a piece of scrap red card stock.  To finish it all off, I tied a bow along the edge using some thin red ribbon.

Black and White Thank You Card

I love black and white on cards.  I also love this Spellbinders flower die!  The flower center and the sentiment are in a subtle black glitter.
