Mojo Monday 290

Here is the Mojo Monday #290 sketch:

And here is my card.  I used papers and accessories from Colorbok's Antique Paperie line.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Travel/Cityscapes

I forgot to enter my card for this challenge!  Anyway, the theme for the challenge last week was Travel/Cityscapes.  Here is the card I made:

I used the cityscape stamp from Jillibean Soup's "You Move Me" set, the sentiment is from TPC Studio's "Hot Air Balloon Collage" set and Artisan paper from Pink Paislee.

OWH Sketch Challenge #169

I'm back!  Here's the Operation Write Home sketch for this week:

And here is my card:

I used DCWV's Mariposa stack paper, a Hero Arts stamp and some Maya Road flowers.

Mojo Monday #282

Better late than never!  Here is the sketch for Mojo Monday #282:

I'm still not brave enough to go for the round card.  I made a square card and used paper from DCWV's La Creme matstack and heat embossed a "thank you" stamp from Fiskars.  The branch is a Sizzix die and the circles are Spellbinders dies.

OWH Sketch Challenge #162

I love Operation Write Home sketches.  The measurements are always provided for an A2 card size (this is the preferred card size to send cards to the troops).

Here is this week's sketch:

This week, I used 9to5 paper from October Afternoon.  The oval is from Jenni Bowlin Studio and the "thanks so much" stamp is from Fiskars.  The flowers and pearls are both Recollections.

OWH Sketch Challenge #161

Wow!  I can't believe it's been over a month since I posted.  Work has really been keeping me busy!

Here's the sketch from Operation Write Home for this week:

And here is my card:

I used paper from my Simon Says Stamp March 2013 Card Kit, Lawn Fawn's "Daphne's Closet".  The "Moochas Gracias" stamp is from the "Farm Fun" collection at Jillibean Soup - I stamped with Versafine, heat embossed it and then colored with Smooch pink to add a little sparkle.

OWH Sketch Challenge #154

I'm late for this Operation Write Home challenge. I actually did my card last week; however, I forgot to post it.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I used paper from DCWV's Mariposa stack and fussy cut the butterfly from the stack. The butterfly looks too much like a bug to me...if I had to do it again, I would choose something different.

Simon Says...Add a Splash of Color!

The Simon Says Stamp! challenge for this week was to make a card using black & white and then add a splash of color.

For my card, I used Sizzix dies for the hearts and letters, and Spellbinders dies for the circles.  I also used a Sizzix embossing folder.

Mojo Monday 275

Here is the sketch for this challenge.  Lots of detail on this one:

Here is my card.  I used Recollections Black & White paper, metal ribbon from Websters Pages and a sticker-sentiment from 7Gypsies.

OWH Cards for Kids

Last month, OWHtv asked us to make cards for kids.  I had not make kid's cards in a while so it was fun digging through my paper stash and finding fun, happy designs.  The simple instructions from Operation Write Home included:  "All themes are great…just use images, colors, and designs that will make kids smile. Include both boys and girls, and think about wee little ones as well as teenagers.... let’s give them plenty of cards they can write home on, and that the children can tuck under their pillows at night."
